Webinar – Stop using strain gages! Learn how to measure non-contact strains and displacements with advanced optical metrology.
May 2 @ 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm

3D Digital Image Correlation (DIC) provides the ability to measure non-contact 3D coordinates, displacements and strains of materials and structures. This unique capability allows the equipment to be used for rapid full-field measurements from material characterization to full component testing, providing the equivalent of the results of over 10,000 contiguous strain gauges or displacement sensors. This technique is now recognized and certified (NIST, Boeing…) as equivalent to standard mechanical testing tools. 3D DIC is used across industries for improving the quality and the accuracy of the data collected to best understand mechanical behaviors of components or validate FEA models.

Webinar – ARAMIS for Material Testing

ARAMIS Video Extensometer

Whether you are a CAE engineer working with material models for numerical simulations or a test engineer characterizing the mechanical properties of materials, you know that working with accurate material parameters is crucial for taking the right decisions during the design phase of your product to ensure the best performance over the entire life cycle. Digital image correlation (DIC) is a versatile and powerful analysis technique for measuring 3D data for deformation analysis of both materials and components. ARAMIS can replace traditional extensometers and strain gages to measure accurately strains during mechanical testing.

On June 28, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. EST, our partner GOM invites you to the webinar “ARAMIS for Materials Testing”  to learn how ARAMIS will enhance your testing capabilities in:

  • Bending tests
  • Shear tests
  • Bulge tests
  • Nakajima tests
  • Compression tests
  • Tensile tests
  • Biaxial tensile tests
  • Hole expansion tests

NASA Tech Briefs Webinar with Mechanical Testing Systems
Oct 10 @ 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Please join us on Wednesday, October 10th at 2:00PM EDT for a webinar hosted by NASA Tech Briefs.  We are pleased to present this webinar with MTS Systems.

Trilion Quality Systems has partnered with MTS Systems to offer an array of test solutions that combine MTS loading solutions with ARAMIS non-contact sensors.

MTS’ customers employ its mechanical test equipment to measure strains and displacements on test specimens for material characterization, component and assembly testing, or to validate Finite Element Analysis. ARAMIS 3D Digital Image Correlation (DIC) provides a non-contacting means for measuring 3D coordinates, displacements and strains of materials and structures under test. This capability enables MTS test systems to be used for rapid full-field measurements, ranging from material characterization to full component testing.

This webinar will present case studies that demonstrate the integration of MTS loading solutions with ARAMIS non-contact sensors for measuring material properties, characterizing failure modes on structures, validating FEA and performing dynamic and vibration analysis.
