Join us Wednesday, February 26th, from 10:30 am – 12:00 pm as we host a webinar with Vision Research, AMETEK, the company behind Phantom High-Speed Cameras. The webinar will be hosted by two world-class engineers who are experts in their respected fields. You’re not going to want to miss this great event!
Digital Image Correlation (DIC) is a widely used, full-field measurement technique, in which a calibrated stereo camera pair determines the 3D coordinates of thousands of points within a dot pattern that is applied with spray paint or ink.
During rapid post-processing, reference coordinates are subtracted from each measurement frame, thus obtaining full-field 3D displacements and strains that can be viewed as color maps, movies, vectors, time histories, etc. The system can determine local displacements at the micron level despite significant rigid body motion and can take measurements anywhere from 1000 frames per second (fps) to 5 million (fps), doing the work of 10,000 strain gages in a fraction of the time.
This 1.5-hour webinar held jointly with Vision Research, AMETEK will present the benefits of DIC in high-speed applications as well as the Phantom High-Speed camera line. After the presentation, there will be exciting live demonstrations of ARAMIS, our 3D DIC system paired with Phantom cameras.
